Cheapest way to travel from Delhi to Agra


Of course we are talking about the cost of train tickets here!

atch the Delhi to Agra Cantt passenger train. One way ticket costs just Rs45

Delhi to Agra distance is roughly 200km. This passenger train covers in about 6 hours time, stopping at all the 30 odd stations between Delhi and Agra Cantt. By the way the Shatabdi Express, one of the fastest trains between Delhi and Agra covers this about 2hours time (...and at about 10 times the ticket fare!).

Note the Delhi to Agra Cannt passenger Train (Train No 51902) leaves from the Old Delhi Railway station (Station Code DLI). Buy the unreserved ticket at the railway station. Try this train to get to Agra, only if you are keen to get a first hand feel of that so called 'Real India Travel Experience', or running ultra low on budget!

Train leaves Old Delhi at 7.15 am and stops at other stations in Delhi like Sadar Bazar (DSB) , New Delhi (NDLS) , Shivaji Bridge (CSB), Tilak Bridge (TKJ), H. Nizamudin (NZM) etc

The chances of getting a set is high, if you get in at Old Delhi station though. Arrives at Agra Cannt by 1.25 pm.

Ther return train the Agra Cantt- Delhi Passenger ( Train 51901 ) leaves Agra at 8 in the morning and reaches Delhi by 3 in the afternoon.

You can also explore the Agra Cantt to H. Nizamudin MENU passenger, that relatively faster (about 4 hours) and cheaper too.
